Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter, in which you describe your family situation.

In general, experience demonstrates that in such cases, during the first years of marriage, the best way to reach harmony and establish a lasting peace for many years, for the happiness of both parties, is not to pay attention to what causes discord. Without doubt, all this will be temporary. The less attention one pays to it, the more each strengthens oneself in what is good, and the more quickly one draws closer and reaches harmony.

Of course, I will endeavor to do what I can, in the appropriate manner, in this matter. Nevertheless, I hope that you yourself will act in accordance with what has just been set forth. As you know, the verse says: "As the face reflects in water, so the heart of man reflects in his fellow" (Mishlei* 27:19). All the more so, this concerns a husband and his wife. Our Sages observe that "a woman is easily moved to tears." One must therefore make the effort to address her in a conciliating and pleasant manner.

May Hashem grant that you soon announce a positive outcome to me, for both of you. Together, you will raise your son to Torah*, to the chuppah*, and to good deeds.

במענה על מכתבו מכ"ט תשרי:

בעת רצון יזכירו את כל אלה שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ויה"ר אשר אחיו חנניא יוסף שי' יקבל עליו עומ"ש שלימה בהכנסו לגיל עול המצות, ומתוך בריאות הנכונה יגדל להיות חסיד ירא שמים ולמדן.

במה שמעיר בהוראת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (אשר בלוח היום יום) בהנוגע להתחלת הנחת תפילין שלא כתוב בדיוק כמה זמן יניחם בלא ברכה, ומהו הטעם בכלל לההתחלה בלא ברכה.

יש לומר כפשוטו, שהוא עד שיתרגל הידק היטב לדייק בהנחתן שתהי' מתאימה למצותה, שבלא"ה ה"ז ברכה לבטלה, וכיון שלא הכל שוין בזה, לכן לא הוקבע בדיוק זמן ההנחה בלא ברכה.

לפלא שאינו מזכיר במכתבו מפעולות חדש תשרי, ובפרט במסגרת צעירי אגודת חב"ד.
