To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Avraham (see note 1),
Greetings and blessings*,
I read with pleasure in your letter that, during the "time of our joy" (see note 2), you gathered and deliberated on the expansion of the Yeshivah* Oholei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch of Melbourne, and on the enlargement of the building, which will undoubtedly multiply the number of students and the studies themselves.
It is impossible to describe how great is the merit of the participants (see note 3) and of those who contribute to this. The Holy One, blessed be He, acts "measure for measure" (see note 4), but in a greatly increased manner. One can thus increase the true satisfaction that one derives from one's children and grandchildren.
You mention the exchange of a check received from here (see note 5). Of course, if a gain results from it for the Yeshivah*, I accept the principle. May Hashem grant that this exchange be propitious also for what you write.
You will please give me news of your father, your brother, your wife, and all the members of your family.

...שמחתי לקרות במכתבו שבזמן שמחתנו נתאספו ודנו אודות הגדלת ישיבת אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש אשר במעלבורן, הגדלת הבנין, שבודאי יביא ג"כ להגדלת מספר התלמידים והגדלת עניני הלימודים, וגודל זכות כל המשתתפים והמתעסקים בזה אין לשער ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכמה פעמים ככה להוספה מיוחדת בנחת אמיתי מבנים ובנות ובני בנים ובנות.
במה שכותב אודות חילוף הטשעק שנשלח מכאן, מובן שכל ענין שהישיבה תרויח על ידי זה, מסכים הנני עליו, ויהי רצון שהחליפין ישמש גם כן סגולה להענין אודותו כותב.
מטובו לפרוש שלום אביו ואחיו וזוגתו וכל בני המשפחה שיחיו.
