Greetings and blessings*,

I am responding to your letter of 26 Tishrei*, in which you speak to me of your elocution (see note 1). You surely know the account (see note 2) of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, leader of Israel, about Rav Zeev Dov Kozevnikov (see note 3).

Consequently, you will study, with ardor and constancy, the Torah* in general, the Words of the living Elokim* — that is, Chassidus* — in particular (see note 4). This will hasten your healing by enabling the medical treatment to be effective.

You inform me of your birthday. No doubt you have adopted the customs of the Chassidim* on this occasion. May Hashem grant that you have a year of success in the study of the revealed part of the Torah* and of Chassidus*, in the practice of the mitzvos* in the best possible way, and in the good beginning that will be fervent prayer.

May Hashem also grant that you exercise a positive influence on your friends in all that has just been said.

ולהודעתו מיום הולדתו, ובטח נהג במנהג אנ"ש ביום ההולדת, ויה"ר שתהי' שנת הצלחה אצלו בלימוד הנגלה וחסידות ובקיום המצות בהידור והתחלה טובה בעבודת התפלה, ויה"ר שגם על חבריו ישפיע בכל האמור.
