To the great Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, of manifold accomplishments, Rav Shneur Zalman (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings*,

I am surprised that you are so brief concerning the Chassidic farbrengens* of the month of Tishrei*. It is then (see note 2) that the luminary is close to its emanation (see note 3), so that all emanations are awakened, as one can verify concretely. Then, one surely takes good resolutions for the future.

You have surely already received a detailed report from the guests (see note 4) and the emissaries (see note 5). May Hashem grant that, always and every day, Jews announce good news to one another.

בודאי כבר הגיע פ"ש מפורטת מהאורחים והשלוחים שי', ויה"ר שתכה"י יבשרו בנ"י אך טוב איש לרעהו.
