Greetings and blessings*,

I am responding to your letter, in which you tell me what happened on Rosh Hashanah* (see note 1).

You will learn by heart fourteen chapters of Tanya* and it would be good to complete this during the month of Tishrei*. Every weekday, or day of Chol HaMoed*, before the morning prayer, you will give a few coins to tzedakah*. And you will scrupulously observe the three daily studies of Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*. You will do all of this without making a vow. And no doubt you already observe, in any case, the immersion of Ezra* (see note 2).

May Hashem grant you to be definitively sealed for a good and fruitful year, of a visible and tangible good.

הנה ילמדו בעל פה ארבעה עשר פרקים של ספק התניא, ומה טוב שיגמרם במשך חדש תשרי, ובכל יום חול (וחול המועד) לפני תפלת הבקר יפריש איזה פרוטות לצדקה, ויזהר בשלשת השיעורים דחת"ת - כ"ז בל"נ (ובודאי נזהר בטבילת עזרא בלאו הכי).
