To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, of multiple accomplishments, possessing good qualities and extensive knowledge, Rav* Moshe Zalman (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings*,

I received with pleasure your telegram informing me that you arrived safely in Melbourne (see note 2). You have surely found the members of your family in good health, as well as the Chassidim*, who were surely happy to see you. Now, "joy breaks all limits" — that is, everything that obstructs a person's action. That is why one endeavors to begin every process joyfully, so that it be truly fruitful.

I enclose a fascicle containing Chassidic* discourses that were delivered while you were in Brooklyn. I hope that you will make their content available to the greatest number. The merit of all depends on you.

In addition to having conveyed my general greetings to the Chassidim*, I am sure that you will explain to them in detail everything concerning the Beis Rivka* girls' school of Melbourne, in Australia. Divine Providence has entrusted you the merit, together with the members of your family, of being its founder, along with your son, may Hashem grant him long life.

You will surely succeed in convincing your son, despite his many activities and communal accomplishments, to devote himself also to this school with the greatest ardor, commensurate with the importance of such an achievement.

May the Creator of the world, Who directs it, grant you much true satisfaction — Jewish and Chassidic* — from all your sons, daughters, and your family, for long days and good years.
