To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav* Aharon Yitzchak (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings*,

I am responding to your letter of 2 Elul*.

As you request, I will mention your name and those of the members of your family at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, the leader of Yisroel*, regarding what you write to me.

It would be good to have your tefillin* checked. And, at least from now on, you will adopt the practice established by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, the three well-known studies — Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*.

Another practice is appropriate for your age (see note 2), according to what was transmitted to us by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*. It would be good, indeed, for you to study Mishnah* on a regular basis, in addition to your other studies. To the extent possible, you will learn several chapters by heart.

Hashem will grant you success in all of this.

You move among people who have much free time (see note 3). You must therefore consider yourself an emissary of Hashem to spread Judaism in general, the practice of mitzvos*, and the study of Torah*, in particular the laws of daily application. And you know the saying of our holy masters that an effort is never in vain.

May Hashem grant you long days and pleasant years. And you will announce good news to me of all this.

P.S.: I hope that you participate in the gatherings of the Chassidim*, which also take place in Tel Aviv from time to time. At the very least, you will do so in the future.

כבקשתו אזכירו ואת ב"ב שי' שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, נשיא ישראל, מתאים לכתבו, ומהנכון שיבדקו התפילין שלו, ושעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא ישמור תקנת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בשלשת השיעורים הידועים בחומש תהלים ותניא, ובמתאים לגילו הנה שמענו הוראה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בכגון דא, שנכון הדבר לעשות קביעות בלימוד המשניות, נוסף על שאר השיעורים, ואם באפשרי להיות בקי בפרקי משניות בעל פה, והשי"ת יצליחו בכל האמור.

כיון שנמצא הוא בסביבת אנשים שזמנם פנוי צריך להביט על עצמו כשלוחא דרחמנא להפיץ שם עניני יהדות בכלל הידור קיום המצות ושיעורי תורה וביחוד בהלכות הצריכות בחיי היום יומים, וכבר ידוע פתגם נשיאנו רבותנו הק' חזקה לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם, והשי"ת יאריך ימיו ושנותיו בנעימים ויבשר טוב בכל האמור.
