Greetings and blessings*,

I received with pleasure your letter of the eve of Shabbos* Parshas* Shoftim*, in which you inform me that you signed, in a positive manner, the contract with the synagogue (see note 1).

May Hashem grant that this be at a good and fruitful time. You know the saying (see note 2) of the Tzemach Tzedek*, which was transmitted to us by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. Indeed, he once said to someone who was in charge of a synagogue: "He called the shemesh* (sun) and the light shone" — "He called the shamash* and the light shone" in the synagogue.

May Hashem grant that it be so for you and that you achieve success. Thus, you will multiply blessings in all your needs, as well as those of the members of your family.

With my blessing* that you be inscribed and sealed for a good year,
