To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav* Avraham (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings*,

I have duly received the first fascicle (see note 2) of "Conversations with Youth" (see note 3) and I thank you for it. May you be as gratified as I myself was by this publication.

May Hashem grant that this be a good beginning in order to conquer publishing in Eretz Yisroel*, particularly that which is intended for the youth and transmits the teaching of our holy masters, whose merit protects us. Indeed, the ultimate goal of these Conversations is the spreading of the wellsprings* (see note 4) outward, as with everything concerning Torah* and mitzvos*.

It is said: "Hashem our Elokim* commanded us to do... (see note 5) in order to fear Him." And, "how does one love and fear Him? By contemplating His greatness," in the words of the Rambam*. Such is indeed the objective of Chassidus*, as it is said: "Know the Elokim* of your father."

May Hashem grant you considerable success, and may it be manifest in your personal concerns.

With my blessing* for success in all that has been said, for good news, and that you be inscribed and sealed for a good year,
