To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem
and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav Shalom Mendel (see note 1), the shochet*,
Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of the first day of Rosh Chodesh* of the month of mercy (see note 2).
No doubt you are seeking support through the consulate (see note 3), which you will therefore obtain, in order to hasten the procedures, carried out for the appropriate period.
You ask me whether you should recite these texts by heart or whether it suffices to read them (see note 4). What matters above all is that they emanate from your heart, for the purpose is to influence those who hear them. Now, words penetrate the heart of the listener only when they emanate from the heart of the one who speaks them. There must therefore result a final synthesis that will have a concrete application (see note 5).
No doubt you have not been content to speak only once with this person. You continue to do so. Moreover, there are certain practices that this person already observes, and the Mishnah* states that one mitzvah* leads to another.
May Hashem grant you success.

בטח מחפש, ואז ימצא, גם היכירות בקאנסולאט בכדי למהר ההשתדלות לזמן המתאים.
ובמ"ש אם הדיוק דוקא לחזור בע"פ או גם בפנים, הנה הדיוק הוא שיהיו דברים היוצאים מן הלב, כיון שהתכלית היא הפעולה על השומעים, ונכנסים ללב השומע כשיוצאים מלב המדבר, זאת אומרת שהנקודה היא שיהי' בכן ופועל.
בודאי אין מסתפקים בדבור פעם אחת עם מרת... תחי', וממשיכים בזה. ובפרט שישנם ענינים שנזהרת בהם, וידוע דבר משנה דמצוה גוררת מצוה. והשי"ת יצליחם.
