To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Yaakov Yosef (see note 1),
Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of the first day of the month of mercy (see note 2). I read with pleasure that a greater number of young men are participating in the study of Chassidus*.
Obviously, this increase, by itself, is far from sufficient, and it is precisely for this reason that one speaks of spreading the wellsprings* (see note 3) to the outside. This is what is asked, and this itself is proof that the necessary forces are granted to meet this demand.
It is clear that these words are addressed not only to you, but also to all the Chassidim of your city and even to those in other places.

במענה על מכתבו מא' דחדש הרחמים, נעם לי לקרות בו שנתוספו אברכים בשעת לימוד דא"ח, אף שכמובן גם עם ההוספה אינו מספיק כלל, וכפשוט ג"כ מדיוק הלשון הפצת המעינות חוצה, וכיון שתובעים זה בודאי ניתנה האפשריות למלאות הדרישה.
ומובן שדברי אלה מופנים לא רק אליו אלא לכל אנ"ש אשר במחנו הט' כמו שהם מופנים לכל אנ"ש אשר בכל מקום...
