and devotes himself to communal needs,

Greetings and blessings,

I have not heard from you for a very long time. Undoubtedly, all is well.

As you know, our Sages say that "one who gives a gift to his friend must inform him." At the very least, the latter can learn of it through someone else. In this case, I had the pleasure of observing the sentiment of love of one's fellow with which the Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav David Feiglin (see note 2), conveyed to me the note requesting a blessing for you, so that you may earn your livelihood more amply.

I mentioned (see note 3) your name, on the eve of Rosh Chodesh of the month of mercy (see note 4), near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, leader of Yisroel. May Hashem grant that this come about concretely and as soon as possible. You will give me good news of all this.

The guests (see note 5) from the Feiglin family, upon returning to Australia, will surely convey to all the Chassidim the substance of our discussion about the imperative necessity not only of developing Yeshivas Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch in Melbourne, but also of founding and opening a girls' school, Beis Rivka*, according to the pedagogical methods of Chabad*.

Of course, the Chassidim must redouble their ardor in their accomplishments. A portion of this drive will be needed for this new institution. According to what these guests from Australia tell me, your participation and your intervention for Beis Rivka will be very useful for creating and developing it.

I hope that you will do all of this on your own initiative. Nevertheless, our Sages say that "one encourages zeal in those who naturally possess this quality." My purpose is therefore only to recall all of this, quantitatively and qualitatively, regarding everything concerning the Chassidim, and in particular regarding what has just been said.

Your physical participation and your effort are much more effective than your financial participation. You already have experience in founding and developing Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak. Consequently, even though it is said that "all beginnings are difficult," this is no longer a beginning. The work will therefore be much easier than in the past. May Hashem grant that in this too you give me good news.

ידוע מאמר חז"ל הנותן מתנה לחבירו צריך להודיעו עכ"פ להודע מזה ע"י אחר, ונעם לי לראות הרגש דאהבת ישראל אשר הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ מו"ה דוד שי' פייגלין מסר פתקא בקשת ברכה עבורו להרחבת הפרנסה, והזכרתיו ער"ח הרחמים על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל, ויהי רצון שיומשך בפועל ובהקדם, ויבשר טוב בזה.

לאוסטראליא אודות שיחתנו על דבר ההכרח הכי גדול לא לבד בהרחבת ישיבת אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש במעלבורן אלא גם ביסוד ופתיחת וגם הרחבת בית ספר לנערות בית רבקה בשיטת חינוך חב"ד, ומובן אשר אנ"ש צריכים להוסיף מרץ בעבודתם כיון שחלק מזה יודרש למוסד חדש זה, וכפי שהכרתי בהאורחים מאוסטראליא הנ"ל, דעתם שהשתתפותו והשתדלותו בבית רבקה תביא תועלת גדולה ליסוד והתפתחות הענינים, ואף שתקותי שגם מעצמו יעשה זה, הרי אמרו רז"ל אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין ולא באתי אלא להעדפה בכמות ובאיכות ובכל עניני אנ"ש וגם הנ"ל בכלל, והטרחה בגופו ויגיעתו מועילה הרבה יותר מאשר הטרחה בממונו, וכיון שכבר עברו הנסיון דיסוד והתרחבות אהלי יוסף יצחק יצא הענין מגדר דהתחלה אשר כל התחלות קשות, ובודאי יהי' בנקל הרבה יותר מאשר בעבר, ויהי רצון שגם בזה יבשר טובות.
