Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of this Thursday, in which you inform me of the road accident that, unfortunately, befell you. I will mention your name, at an auspicious time, near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, so that the outcome be fully positive and that in the future you know neither pain nor suffering, Heaven forbid.

It would be good for you to place henceforth in your car (see note 1) a Siddur*, a Tehillim*, and also a Tanya*. You should also place in it several brochures on Yiddishkeit*, written in the language of the country. While driving, you will seek a way to convey their content or even to distribute them to those you encounter. In this way, you will strengthen Jewish observance.

And if you stop during your journey, you will read several Psalms or study a few lines from one of these books. Through all of this, your travels will become missions of mitzvah* (see note 2), and as you know, our Torah, the Torah of life, emphasizes that an emissary of a mitzvah (see note 3) is protected, going and returning.

במענה על מכתבו מיום החמישי, בו כותב ע"ד תאונת דרך שאירעה לו ל"ע ול"ע, ואזכירהו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אשר הכל יסתיים בכי טוב ומכאן ולהבא לא ידע מצער ועגמ"נ ח"ו.

מהנכון הי' שלהבא יחזיק בהקאר שלו סידור תהלים וגם תניא, ומה טוב גם איזה חוברות בעניני יהדות בשפת המדינה, ומדי נסעו יחפש הזדמנות להנאות בתוכן חוברות אלו או גם בהחוברות עצמן את אלו שנפגש עמהם, שעי"ז יתוסף בהם בעניני יהדות, וכשעומד לנוח ומפסיק נסיעתו יאמר קאפיטל תהלים או ילמוד איזה שורות מאחד הספרים הנ"ל, אשר ע"י כל זה תעשינה נסיעותיו שליחות של מצוה, וידועה הודעת תורתנו תורת חיים בשמירת שליח מצוה בהליכתן ובחזירתן.
