To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
devoted to communal needs,
who bears a sacred mission, Rav Yitzchak Dov (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

It is no doubt unnecessary to remind you of the need to spread the wellsprings* (see note 2) outward, including in the place where you currently find yourself. As I have noted on several occasions, one must not make the mistake of thinking that during the period commonly called "vacation," one should diminish Torah* and Mitzvos* in general, and the spreading of the wellsprings outward in particular.

During this period, quite the contrary, one is freed from all that one does for the purpose of receiving reward (see note 3) within this material and even coarse world. One must therefore intensify all that one accomplishes in a disinterested manner, all that leads to refusing reward, including the most exalted — that is, as the Likkutei Torah* explains, all the revelations that are described as partial (see note 4), since they belong to the chain of worlds* and are therefore necessarily limited.

It is clear that at every step, one can find someone willing to receive these wellsprings (see note 5), even if sometimes the one who discovers this must forge within that person a receptacle* (see note 6). This is self-evident.

I am enclosing a pamphlet that has just been published, as I do not know whether you possess it. You know what the Mitteler Rebbe* says regarding the study of Chassidus*, even in his era: the most recent commentaries arouse greater interest.

But in truth, what does it matter, so long as one studies Chassidus, studies it intensely, and this study spreads throughout your entire circle, first those nearby, then those further away.

... בודאי למותר לעוררו להתעסק בהפצת המעינות חוצה גם במקומו עתה, וכמדובר כ"פ לא כדעת הטועים שבימים הנק' בלע"ז ימי חופש יש למעט ח"ו בעניני תורה ומצות בכלל ובעניני הפצת המעינות חוצה בפרט, אלא אדרבה, כיון שבימים אלו פטורים מענינים שהם עמלק"פ בעוה"ז הגשמי וגם החומרי, יש להוסיף בכל אותם הענינים שהם שלא עמל"פ עד לשלילת פרס גם בדקות, וכמבואר בלקוטי תורה שזהו כל הגילוים הנקראים בשם פרוסה כיון שהם בס' השתל', זאת אומרת במדידה והגבלה, ובודאי שעל כל צעד ושעל יש למצוא מקבל למעינות אלו, אף שלפעמים צריך המוצא לעשות מהגולמי כלי לקבלה, וק"ל.

מוסג"פ קונטרס שהו"ל, כיון שאיני יודע אם נמצא אתו, וכבר ידועים דברי אדמו"ר האמצעי בהנוגע ללימוד החסידות אפילו בדורות ההם שהדרושים החדשים מתקבלים בחביבות יותר.

ומה איכפת לנו, ובלבד שילמדו חסידות ובשופי, ויפוץ הלימוד בכל הסביבה ולאח"ז גם בהרחוקה.
