I bless you and greet you (see note 1).

I respond to your letter of 2 Menachem Av, in which you describe the difficulties of your life.

Now, Hashem has come to your aid and you have raised children who follow the path of Yiddishkeit*, even though they differ from one another. And you can have good hope that they will continue on this path. If, moreover, you reflect upon the recent past (see note 2), you will agree that you are one of the most fortunate women one can encounter.

How much more so if one compares you to your relatives. Indeed, some of them have remained on the other side (see note 3), and some others... (see note 4). Naturally, this does not mean that it is impossible to aspire to something better than this. May Hashem, Who is the Essence of good, grant you, at the proper time — and He will surely grant it — far more than all of this.

But while hoping, as quickly as possible, for the improvement of your current situation, you must not for all that forget the kindnesses and the positive elements that Hashem grants you, Heaven forbid. It is in this way that one strengthens one's faith and trust in Hashem, that one improves one's health, and that one obtains a healthier, more Jewish, and more Chassidic* home.

במענה על מכתבה מבי מנ״א ,בו כותבת אודות הקשיים של חיי’.

בעת שהשי״ת עזר לה והיא גידלה ילדים ההולכים בדרך היהדות,

גם אם הם שונים זה מזה ,ויכולה להיות חזקה בתקותה שגם בעתיד

ילכו בדרך חיים זו ,הרי בהתבוננות בשנות העבר הלא רחוק ,היא אחד

המאושרים שפוגשים ,ובפרט כאשר עורכים השוואה עם הקרובים

שחלק מהם נשאר מהעבר שהשני וחלק מהם וכף -כמובן מאליו שאין

הכוונה שלא יכול להיות עוד יותר טוב ,והשי״ת שהוא עצם הטוב ,יתן,

ואכן יתן ,עם הזמן ,כהנה וכהנה ,אך בד בבד עם התקוה לשיפור המצב

הנוכחי בעתיד הקרוב ,אין לשכוח ח״ו אודות החסדים והטוב שהשי״ת

נתן ,שזה מוסיף גם חיזוק באמונה ובטחון ,משפר את הבריאות ועושה

את כל הבית בריא יותר ,יהודי יותר וחסידי יותר. . .
