To my close relative, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Avraham David,

Greetings and blessings,

I read with pleasure in your letter that you have recited Chassidic discourses (maamarim*) on various occasions. May Hashem grant that there be fulfilled in you the word of the Mishnah* according to which "one mitzvah* attracts another" — even if it is, in all, only a single mitzvah, and all the more so if it is repeated many times. Thereby, one attracts many more mitzvos than those already performed.

The Shaar HaYichud VeHaEmunah*, at the beginning of chapter 12, explains all this and states: "Another point, surpassing all that has been said..." — demonstrating the power represented by the combination of a few letters (the words that constitute speech).

I mean, very simply, that you must greatly intensify your spreading of Chassidus*. Without a doubt, you will achieve success. May Hashem grant that you accomplish all this with peace of mind, with material abundance, and with breadth of spirit.

... נעם לי לקרות במכתבו שחזר כ"פ מאמרי דא"ח, ויה"ר שיקוים דבר משנה מצוה גוררת מצוה אפילו מצוה יחידה כדיוק הלשון בלשון יחיד, עאכו"כ מצוה שנשנית כ"פ שגוררת הרבה יותר ממספר מצות הגורמות, ע"פ המבואר בשער היחוד והאמונה ריש פרק י"ב עוד זאת העולה על כולנה כו' - כח הבא ע"י הצירוף של כמה אותיות, וכוונתי כפשוטה שיוסיף כהנה וכהנה בהפצת דא"ח, ובודאי יהי' בהצלחה, ויה"ר שיעשה זה מתוך מנוחת הנפש והרחבת הפרנסה והרחבת הדעת.
