To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, Rav Mordechai,

Greetings and blessings,

You tell me that you take a limited part in the strengthening and development of Yeshivah Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak*, due to the other responsibilities you fulfill, as mentioned in your letter.

You know the teaching of our Torah*, the Torah of life, that "the study of Torah surpasses all other commandments" that were previously enumerated (in the Mishnah* from which this passage is taken). Moreover, this concerns an institution providing an education whose usefulness not everyone perceives, in our orphaned generation. The responsibility and the merit of those to whom Hashem has granted a discerning heart to understand all this is therefore all the greater. The blessings that Hashem bestows upon those who are active in this domain are likewise increased.

It is therefore in this way that one multiplies these blessings from Hashem, Creator of the world, Who directs it, in all domains at once. And one derives, in particular, Yiddishe nachas* from one's children.

To someone such as you, I am certain it is unnecessary to say more. I thank you in advance for announcing good news in all that has just been discussed.

You say nothing about your state of health. I deduce that you are well.
