I bless you and greet you.

I am responding to your letter, in which you cite the names of your daughters.

Your name and those of your children will be read, at an auspicious moment, near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us.

You were asked (see note 1) to give tzedakah* at certain times (see note 2) because these are more auspicious for Hashem to accept and fulfill your request. And even if you give at other times, including a large sum, you should also do so at these auspicious moments. However, it may be merely a penny or two.

May Hashem grant you success, so that you may give good news of yourself and of your children.

N.B.: The previous letter was indeed signed by my secretary. However, his involvement was limited to that signature. The letter itself was written, word for word, as I dictated it. To confirm this for you, I am signing the present letter myself, as an exception.
