Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from Rosh Chodesh* of the Redemption (see note 2), that of Tammuz*, with its contents. I thank you for the good news — the increase they are planning regarding their donation. As I have written, more than the material aspect of things, it is above all the deeper dimension that matters here — the fact that your activities are appreciated.

There is therefore good hope that by ricochet (see note 3), this will have an effect on you and your wife. You will therefore be able to multiply your activities to strengthen Yiddishkeit* and disseminate it. Indeed, you yourself understand how much the activities of the past should have been broadly developed. Despite this, simple community members recognize their importance and value. And how much more will this be the case when these activities are developed in the manner they ought to be, or at least in accordance with current possibilities.

Various texts explain that reflected light is stronger than direct light. In this regard, the time has finally come to devote oneself to the strengthening and dissemination not only of Yiddishkeit* in general but also of the wellsprings (see note 4), outward.

May Hashem grant that in this area as well, you bring me good news and that you will not postpone all of this.

במענה על מכתבו מר"ח הגאולה חדש תמוז עם המוסגר בו, ות"ל על הבשו"ט אשר החליטו ליתן הוספה, וכמו שכתבתי שיותר מהענין הגשמי בזה תופסת מקום הפנימיות שבדבר שמעריכים פעולותיו ועי"ז מתחזקת התקוה שבדרך אור חוזר יפעול הנ"ל עליו ועל זוגתו תחי' להרבות בפעולות בהחזקת היהדות והפצתה, ובמכש"כ וק"ו, ומה הפעולות שבעבר אשר ידע אינש בנפשי' שצריכות היו להיות כ"פ ככה ובכ"ז אפילו בע"ב פשוטים מכירים בהן ומעריכים אותן וכו' עאכו"כ כשתגדלנה הפעולות כדי הצורך ועכ"פ כדי האפשרית שבהווה, וכבר מבואר בכ"מ אשר פעולת או"ח היא יותר גדולה מפעולת אור ישר, וכבר באה העת להתעסק לא רק בהחזקת היהדות בכלל והפצתה אלא גם בהפצת המעינות חוצה, ויה"ר שגם בזה יבשר טוב און ניט אפלייגען אויף שפעטער.
