Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter, in which you seek my opinion on the choice of Yeshivah* in which you should continue your studies next year.

You give me no details regarding yourself, but it is clear that this Yeshivah* must be devoted exclusively to sacred studies. In this regard, the sooner the better. If, in every place and at all times, such was the most desirable conduct, how much more is this the case when one is in the "land toward which the eyes of Hashem are always directed, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year," and in our generation — that of the heel of Moshiach* — when the darkness of exile has become deep and intense.

The true and complete Redemption, through our righteous Moshiach*, stands "behind our wall," and everything depends solely on the teshuvah* of each person, in the domain that characterizes him.

I hope that you meet the youth of the Chabad* association, that you have a fixed time for the study of Chassidus*. No doubt you will intensify all of this, in accordance with the injunction of the Torah* that one ascends in the domain of holiness.

במענה על מכתבו, בו שואל חוו"ד באיזה ישיבה ללמוד בזמן הבא. ואף שאינו כותב פרטים אודות עצמו, אבל פשוט שצריך ללמוד בישיבה של לימודי קדש בלבד, וכל ההקדם בזה ישובח, ואם בכל מקום ובכל זמן היתה זאת ההנהגה הכי טובה על אחת כמה וכמה בארץ אשר עיני ה' אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה ובדורנו דור עקבתא דמשיחא אשר חשך הגלות נעשה כפול ומכופל והגאולה האמיתית על ידי משיח צדקנו הנה זה עומד אחר כתלנו ואין הדבר תלוי אלא בתשובה אמיתית של כל אחד ואחד בענינו.

תקותי שנפגש עם צעירי אגודת חב"ד ויש לו קביעות לימוד בתורת החסידות, ובטח יוסיף בזה מתאים להציווי מעלין בקדש.
