To Nshei* and Bnos* Chabad*, the chapter of Tel Aviv, may Hashem grant you long life,

Blessings and greetings,

I received your letter from erev* Rosh Chodesh* Sivan, which followed a particularly long interruption. I am surprised by the manner in which certain women view the activities and the work of Nshei* and Bnos* Chabad*, based on what they write to me. Now, it is well known how greatly my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, valued such activities and requested that they be developed to the fullest extent possible.

When the occasion arises, I will remind these women (see note 1) of the necessity of collaborating with you, according to the needs. Furthermore, the nature and abilities of many members of your chapter, from what I know, make them capable of being speakers at meetings of Nshei* and Bnos* Chabad* — at most, with the appropriate preparation.

Indeed, everyone who speaks in public must prepare for it. And our Sages, of blessed memory, note in this regard that Rabbi Akiva himself prepared his teaching four times before delivering it publicly. Moreover, the Midrash* Tanchuma*, Parshas* Yisro, paragraph 15, even derives this principle (see note 2) from a verse of the Torah*.

I am enclosing a copy of my letter addressed to all, on the occasion of the meeting of Nshei* and Bnos* Chabad* that took place here. Its content will surely serve you for your work.

לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבן מאור לר"ח סיון, ולפלא על יחס פב"פ שמזכירות במכתבן לפעולות ועבודת נשי ובנות חב"ד, בה בשעה שידוע עד כמה העריך כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר פעולות אלו ודרישתו להרחיבן בכל האפשרי, ומובן שבהזדמנות אעורר אותם עוד הפעם לשתף פעולה אתן מתאים לדרישתן, אבל ביחד עם זה כפי שידועות לי מהותן וידיעותיהן של כמה מהחבירות של סניפן ראויות רבות מהן להיות מרציאות באסיפות נשי ובנות חב"ד ולכל היותר על ידי שיכינו את עצמן לזה, אבל הרי הכנה זו נדרשת מכל אחד ואחת שעליהם להרציא ברבים, וכידוע הוראת רבותנו זכרונם לברכה בזה אשר אפילו רבי עקיבא למד לעצמו ארבע פעמים קודם אמירתו ברבים ונלמד זה מהכתוב (תנחומא פרשה יתרו, טו).
