To the young man, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Aharon (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 25 Iyar*, and you will no doubt continue to give me good news of your activities and those of the chassidim* of your city.

I am enclosing a copy of my letter addressed to all (see note 2), which will surely be sent in these days, in an official manner, to the Nshei* and Bnos* Chabad* organization of Melbourne.

As is your good custom, you will no doubt send here the press clippings concerning Chabad* (see note 3). It is presumably unnecessary to note that such articles should be more frequent. Indeed, it would be good to adopt the practice followed by chassidim* in various countries: publishing, every erev* Shabbos* and Yom Tov*, an idea concerning Torah* and mitzvos* in a local newspaper read by our brethren, the children of Israel. To the extent possible, this idea should be commented upon and illuminated by Chassidus*. It would be good to emphasize this necessity to the chassidim*.

שמחתי לקבל את מכתבו ,בו כותב מקביעות יום חתונת בתו . . .
תחי׳ בשעה טובה ומוצלחת בירושלים עיר הקדש ת״ו ,והוא וזוגתו
מתכננים להיות נוכחים בחתונה.
ובטח מיותר לעורר אותו ,שכאשר נוסעים לארץ ישראל ,עליי אומרת
התורה הקדושה -עיני ה׳ אלקיך בה מראשית השנה עד אחרית שנה,
ואשר גם לא יהודים קוראים לה ארץ הקודש ,יש לקחת ״ויזה״ לא רק
מבני אדם אלא בעיקר מהמלך שארץ ישראל נקראת פלטרין )ארמון(
שלו ,שויזה זו מקבלים ע״י הוספה ביהדות בלימוד התורה וקיום המצוות
בהידור ,ומובן ,שההוספה צריכה להתחיל בהקדם האפשרי ,כי אין אתנו
יודע עד מה ,וכל יום שחולף ,הרי זו אבידה שאינה חוזרת .האמת היא
שתוספת בתורה ומצוות נחוצה אפילו כאשר לא נוסעים ,ואכן דורשים
זאת ,כמו שכתוב כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו ,ובפרט במקרה שלו הוספה זו
מוכרחת ,ובטח ע״י התבוננות קלה ימצאו גם ענינים שבהם גם זוגתו תי׳
יכולה להוסיף בעניני יהדות שלה ,וכן ע״י השפעה על הסביבה לעשותם
קרובים יותר ליהדות ,והשם יתברך יצליחם.
ואכפול ברכותי שתהי׳ החתונה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ויבנו בית
בישראל בנין עדי עד על יסודי התורה והמצוה.
