To the Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*

and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav* David (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I thank you for your letter of 25 Iyar*, in which you inform me of the continuation of your activities for Chassidus*, the Torah*, and Judaism. You also indicate to me, in general terms, the situation of Kfar Chabad*, where "Hashem* has commanded the blessing." No doubt you will continue to do so, and "to whoever adds (see note 2), more is added (see note 3)," regarding your personal concerns.

You will also invite all the inhabitants of the Kfar*, men and women, to do the same, each one according to his or her situation, possibilities, and abilities. Hashem* acts "measure for measure" (see note 4) and He will reward them in vastly increased proportion, with a visible and tangible good.

Moreover, Kfar Chabad* is the place where the Attribute of Mercy is revealed — greater than that of goodness which precedes it — an inheritance without limit, extending from one extreme to the other (see note 5).

On the occasion of the festival of Shavuos*, which is approaching, may we merit, within all of Israel, according to the formulation of our master, my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, to receive the Torah* with joy and in a profound manner.

ת"ח על מכתבו מכ"ה אייר, בו כותב ע"ד המשך הפעולות בעניני חסידות תורה ויהדות וידיעות ממצב הכללי בכפר חב"ד אשר שם צוה ה' את הברכה, ובודאי יוסיף בזה וכל המוסיף מוסיפין לו בעניניו הפרטים, וכן יעורר את כל תושבי הכפר האנשים ונשים לעשות כהנ"ל כל אחד ואחת מתאים למעמדו ומצבו ויכולתו וכשרונותיו, ובמדתו של הקב"ה שהיא מדה כנגד מדה ישולם להם אלא שעוד כמה פעמים ככה בטוב הנראה והנגלה ובפרט שכפר חב"ד הוא המקום אשר תתגלה בו מדת הרחמים שהיא גדולה ממדת החסד שלפני' נחלה בלי מצרים מבריח מן הקצה אל הקצה.

ולקראת חג השבועות הבע"ל הנה בלשון הרב הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר יה"ר שנזכה בתכ"י לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
