Greetings and blessings,

You mention your memory. One must take care not to tire it. If you consult a book or study and feel that your memory is becoming fatigued, you should change the subject of study — for example, from Mishnah* to Ein Yaakov*, from Gemara* to Mishnah*. One can also devote oneself to another Mitzvah* for a while, and then return to study.

Likewise, you should study what appeals to you. One should also know by heart at least several chapters of Mishnah* and recite them without tiring one's memory, even if this takes a little more time.

On the occasion of the festival of Shavuos*, may we have the merit, within all of Israel, according to the expression of our master, my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, to receive the Torah* with joy and in a profound manner.

With my blessing,
