Greetings and blessings,

I received with pleasure your letter of 14 Iyar*, which followed a long interruption. You tell me that the situation is improving and that everything is moving in the right direction, in both areas in which you have your say. No doubt, in a peaceful manner, you will ensure that your opinion is retained for the final decision. But all of this will remain confidential.

This situation once again proves that nothing can resist the will. Thus the heavenly ruling (see note 1) applies, according to which in everything concerning the Torah*, the fear of Hashem*, and good conduct, the Chassidim* of Chabad* will have the upper hand. One can observe on the ground the fruits of the initial effort, since in the new class, the Likkutei Torah* is being taught. And you will be rewarded by finding a suitable match for your children (see note 2).

May Hashem* grant that the success in all of this awaken in you new energies to act on the ground, developing and broadening what pertains to Chabad*, in a pleasant manner. In this way, what is said will be fulfilled: "When one of you is exiled to Barbary," it is the entire country that receives its elevation (see note 3).

In our days, this elevation is brought about through the dissemination of the wellsprings (see note 4), until they reach the outside. This means not only studying Chassidus*, but also adopting its customs and practices, which is essential, for "it is the deed, not the study, that is the main thing."

לאחרי הפסק ארוך נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מי"ד אייר שמסתדרים הענינים והולכים ובכיוון טוב, היינו בשני הפרטים שתהי' לו דיעה (ובטח בדרכי נועם תהי' לו דיעה זו בהנוגע להחלטה) ושישאר זה בסוד. ומזה עוד ראי' נוספת שאין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ואשר מתקיים פסק דין של מעלה אשר בכל ענין של תורה יר"ש ומדות טובות תהי' יד חסידי חב"ד על העליונה, ורואים הפירות מהענין הראשון על אתר במה שבשיעור החדש ישנו למוד לקו"ת וגם מתן שכרם בצדם בשידוך טוב ומתאים לילדיהם שי'.

ויה"ר שהצלחתו בכל הנ"ל יעורר בו כחות נוספים לעבודה בשטח עניני חב"ד ובהתרחבות והתפשטות אבל בדרכי נועם, ואז יהי' ע"ד האמור כשאיש אחד מכם גולה לברבריא הרי מבררים את כל המדינה, ובירורים בימינו אלה הוא ע"י הפצת המעינות (עד שיגיעו גם) חוצה שענינם לא רק לימוד החסידות אלא הליכה בהדרכותי' ומנהגי' וזהו עיקר וכמאמר המשנה לא המדרש [עיקר] אלא המעשה.
