Greetings and blessings,
I received with pleasure your letter from this Thursday, which followed an interruption.
Referring to the well-known statement of the Rambam* in his Laws of Dispositions, chapter 2, and in his Eight Chapters, chapter 3, according to which the healing of the spirit is identical to that of the body, we may observe that when it comes to physical health, one gives importance to time, and the more one can hasten the cure, the more one will seek to do so, disregarding for this purpose any established order — whether of time or of priorities. In such a case, what matters is solely that one obtain, as quickly as possible, an improvement and a betterment.
Now, it is strictly the same for the dissemination of the wellsprings (see note 1). Since "your knowledge in this area is still limited, since most of the concepts are not clear to you, you will wait, before disseminating the wellsprings, to fill this gap" (see note 2). Yet what has just been said shows you to what extent such a conception is excluded.
Moreover, as you know, it is said that "the more one accumulates knowledge, the more one multiplies suffering." Indeed, one can verify that the more one truly knows the Torah*, the more one understands it, and the more one feels to what extent one lacks knowledge and understanding. Then, from time to time, this awareness of the lack increases (see note 3).
Above all, lost time can never be recovered. The attitude, in this case, must therefore be that which characterizes, in the expression of our Sages*, "an immature people" (see note 4). This idea appears even more clearly in the directive they formulate thus: "Grab and eat, grab and drink (see note 5), for the world from which we come is like a wedding feast."
For someone like you, it is surely unnecessary to say more. You will also consult the letter of the Rebbe Rashab*, printed on page 22 of Kuntres U'Maayan*, explaining that the transformation of matter no longer follows an established order in our era (see note 6). You will apply its terms to your own person.
May Hashem* grant that you meditate upon all of this once more. In this way, I have good hope that you will effectively reach the conclusion previously cited.
With my blessing to share good news and to receive the Torah* with joy and in a profound manner (see note 7),
