Blessings and greetings,
I am responding to your letter of 12 Iyar*, in which you inform me of the difficulty you are facing regarding your engagement to this young man, at a good and fruitful time.
When the time comes, you will surely find a solution to these problems which, after all, are secondary compared to the essential point — that is, the building of a Jewish home based on the Torah* and the Mitzvos*. In our day, many are those who mistake light for darkness and darkness for light. These foundations must therefore be illuminated and permeated with the luminary of the Torah*, which is its inner dimension, in our era revealed through the teachings of Chassidus* and all that pertains to it. In this way, one averts the possibility of the confusion alluded to above and of disarray.
You write that you have recently become acquainted with Chabad*, and I have good hope that this acquaintance has transformed your life in the manner just described. This will enable you to find more easily a solution to the problems you mention.
The merit of devoting yourself to education based on sacred values, within an Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch school, will enable you to obtain from Hashem* an increased blessing and success, both in your educational work and in your personal concerns.

במענה על מכתבה מי"ב אייר, בו כותבת אודות הבעיא שעומד לפני' בקשר עם השידוך שלה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת עם האברך...
הנה בטח במשך הזמן ימצאו פתרון גם לבעיות אלו שסוף סוף טפלות הן בערך לעיקר הענין, הוא בנין בית בישראל על יסודי התורה והמצוה, ובתקופתנו שישנם כמה וכמה השמים אור לחשך וחשך לאור, מוכרחים להיות אפילו יסודות אלו מוארים וחדורים מאור שבתורה זוהי פנימיות התורה שבתקופה זו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות ועניני', שעל ידי זה מתמעטת האפשרות לחליפין הנ"ל, ולבלבול ענינים, וכיון שכותבת שהכירה בתקופה האחרונה עניני חב"ד, תקותי שהכרה זו תבוא לפועל בחיי-ה מתאים להאמור, וגם זה יקל בפתרון הבעיות אודותם כותבת.
וזכות התעסקותה בחינוך על טהרת הקדש במוסד אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש, יעמד לה לתוספת ברכה מהשי"ת הצלחה בעבודתה עבודת החינוך ובעניני' הפרטים.
