Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 11 Iyar*. I took note, with pleasure, of your activities and of the influence you exert on the group of young women before whom you deliver words of encouragement, lectures on Chassidus*.

I am responding to the question you ask me on this subject. It is customary, as the basis of a lecture, to choose an idea treated in the books and discourses of our holy masters. But one adapts the content to the audience. Obviously, it must be made known that this is not a Chassidic* discourse, but rather explanations introduced by the lecturer.

You point out that at the meetings of the Jerusalem chapter of the Chabad* women's group, people speak in Yiddish (see note 2). It would be good, nevertheless, to address yourself on this matter to the leaders of this group. Without doubt, several of them speak Hebrew or, at the very least, Lashon HaKodesh* (see note 3). They will therefore be able to contribute to your work among these young women. By consulting together (see note 4), you will also be able to determine how to organize all of this and what approach to adopt.

במענה על מכתבו מי"א אייר... נעם לי לקרות במכתבו ע"ד פעולתו והשפעתו בחוג נערות ע"י דברי התעוררות, הרצאות בתורת החסידות וכו', ובמענה לשאלתו בזה, נוהגים שבתור יסוד להרצאה, לוקחים ענין מספרים ומאמרים של רבותנו נשיאנו הק', אלא שמבארים אותו בהסברה לפי ערך השומעות והמקבלות, ומובן שבאופן כזה מוכרחת ההודעה שאין זה מאמר חסידות אלא הסברת המרציא וכו'.

למרות הערתו שבאסיפות שבסניף נשי חב"ד בירושת"ו מדברים באידיש, כדאי שידבר עם המנהלות שבסניף זה, שבודאי יש כמה ביניהן שמדברות עברית, ועכ"פ לשון הקדש, ויוכל לנצל אותן בהנוגע להשפעה על הבנות הנ"ל, וע"י התייעצות שביניהם בטח יחליטו ע"ד חלק הארגוני שבזה והגישה...
