To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*,

Rav* Nachman (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the conclusion of Shabbos*. You tell me that you brought seedlings and seeds (see note 2) to the Holy Land, and I thank you for this good news.

You tell me that all of this was planted at Petach Tikva (see note 3). Please look into this arrangement once more. Perhaps at least a portion can be placed at Kfar Chabad*, for "it is there that Hashem* has commanded the blessing, for eternity." There are several orchards there, and from what is said, they are thriving — which clearly means that the soil is fertile for all of this.

You say nothing about the state of health of your father-in-law, my close relative, to whom Hashem* will grant long life (see note 4). This is no doubt proof that all is well. Please convey my greetings to him.

With my blessing, and awaiting your good news,

P.S.: You are no doubt aware of the studies incumbent upon everyone, instituted by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. These concern the Chumash*, the Tehillim*, and the Tanya*, and are well known. In any case, you will maintain them in the future.

במענה על מכתבו ממוצש"ק. הנה ת"ח על הבשו"ט מאשר הביא שתילים וגרעינים וכו' לאה"ק ת"ו, ובמ"ש שסידרו הדברים בפתח תקוה נא להתענין עוד בזה, אפשר עכ"פ חלק יש לסדר בכפר חב"ד כי שם צוה ה' את הברכה עד העולם, והרי ישנם כמה פרדסים שם, וע"פ השמועה מצליחים, שזהו מוכיח שהאדמה מתאימה לענין זה.

כיון שאינו מזכיר דבר בהנוגע לבריאות חותנו ש"ב שליט"א, בטח זהו סימן שהכל בסדר ובשלום, ומטובו לפרוש שלומו.
