To the great Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs,

Rav* Nachum Shmaryahu (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of 11 Iyar*, in which you mention what unfortunately happened at Kfar Chabad* (see note 2).

It is surely unnecessary to remind you of what I have written to several Chassidim*. It is necessary not only to strengthen the institutions located there, but also to develop them, quantitatively and qualitatively, for "it is there that Hashem* has commanded the blessing, for eternity."

In accordance with the teaching of our holy masters, one will witness the revelation of the Attribute of Mercy, stronger than that of goodness which precedes it — an inheritance without limit, extending from one extremity to the other.

With my blessing to share good news of all of this and of what you will be able to accomplish in this matter,

ובודאי למותר לעוררו במ"ש לכמה מאנ"ש שמוכרח לא רק לחזק המוסדות אשר שם, אלא עוד להרחיבם בכמות וגם באיכות כי שם ציוה ה' את הברכה עד העולם, וכהוראת רבותינו הק' אשר תתגלה במקום זה מדת הרחמים שהיא גדולה ממדת החסד שלפני' נחלה בלי מצרים מבריח מן הקצה אל הקצה.
