To all who cherish the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, who support schools providing a proper education,
may Hashem* grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
The appeal for help from the Beis Rivkah* schools of Brownsville and East New York must receive an immediate response from every Jewish heart.
This institution, inaugurated by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, fifteen years ago (see note 2), serves Jewish girls. It has, thank Hashem*, already educated hundreds of students, giving them an education in the spirit of the Torah* and the fear of Hashem*, so that they may fully assume their role as homemakers.
At the present time, this institution finds itself in a critical situation, due to the difficulties inherent in the construction of the school building, which must be renovated and expanded in order to be able to adequately meet the needs of this city.
It is surely unnecessary to explain at length the importance, in general, of educating girls based on sacred values, and the immense value, in particular, of the aforementioned Beis Rivkah* schools, which are well known to the general public within the community.
Consequently, I address myself to all who are aware of the sanctity of the Torah* and the Yiddishkeit* based upon it, asking that they respond generously to this appeal for help from the Beis Rivkah* schools of Brownsville and East New York — by making their own contribution and by inviting others to do likewise, conferring upon them this merit — which is the great Mitzvah* of supporting the proper education of Jewish girls based on sacred values.
Hashem*, Who acts "measure for measure" (see note 3) but in a greatly increased manner, will bless all the donors and all the administrators, granting them Jewish satisfaction from their children and from themselves, in abundance, materially and spiritually.
