To the Rav*, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs,
Rav* Tzvi (see note 1),
Greetings and blessings,
I have duly received your letter from this Thursday, in which you describe the organization of the Talmud Torah* and the synagogue that you direct. You mention, in particular, their expansion and development.
No doubt you are making use of these auspicious days in the appropriate manner. My letter from before Pesach*, addressed to all (see note 2), emphasizes their importance, and it has surely reached you. Accordingly, you will make full use of Lag BaOmer*, all the more so since it falls on a day when one does not work (see note 3).
You will surely organize a day camp (see note 4) sufficiently early. May you achieve success in this area as well. It is surely unnecessary to remind you of the verse: "Share your bread... and do not turn away from your own flesh." The Eliyahu Rabbah* explains that this applies also in the domain of Torah* and Mitzvos*, and the end of the verse therefore alludes to the manner in which you practice them — to the addition that you make from time to time, for "to whoever adds (see note 5), more is added (see note 6)."

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מיום החמישי, בו כותב אודות הסדר בהת"ת ובית הכנסת שבהנהגתו, והעיקר אשר מתוסף ומתפתח בזה, ובודאי מנצל ימי הסגולה באופן המתאים, וכמבואר גודל הערך בזה במכתבי כללי שלפני הפסח שבטח הגיעו, ומזה מובן שינצל יום הל"ג בעומר ככל הדרוש ובפרט שחל ביום שפנוים ממלאכתם.
בטח בעוד מועד מתכוננים לסדר דעי קעמפ, ויה"ר שגם זה יהי' בהצלחה, ובודאי למותר לעוררו על הכתוב הלא פרוס לרעב לחמך וגו' ומבשרך לא תתעלם, וע"פ המבואר באלי' רבא, שהכוונה הוא גם בהנוגע לתורה ומצות, ומזה מובן שסיום הכתוב הוא גם בהנוגע לעצמו בתומ"צ שצריך להוסיף בזה מזמן לזמן, וכל המוסיף מוסיפין לו.
