You raise the matter of the need to hand over the key (see note 2) during the sale of Chametz*. You are no doubt aware that recently, those who observe the Mitzvos* in the most scrupulous manner have themselves dispensed with this practice in various places and cities.

But perhaps your letter was intended solely to discuss the law, without seeking a practical application.
