To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and carries out a sacred mission,

Greetings and blessings,

I have finally received your letter of 4 Iyar*, which followed a particularly long silence. You allude to the weakening observed at Kfar Chabad* (see note 2). I entrust this matter to the one who founded this village and directs it — that is, my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, the leader of Israel. On the contrary, the work and the tranquility there will be increased, as will the blessing of Hashem*, not only in public affairs but also in the personal concerns of each and every one — precisely in a good that is visible and tangible, as the Alter Rebbe*, the Mitteler Rebbe*, and the Tzemach Tzedek* rule, and as I stated in my letter (see note 3) addressed some time ago.

You inform me that you are looking for a suitable plot of land for the school, and I thank you for this good news. Nevertheless, you express satisfaction at the realization of the project (see note 4) for the school year 5718 (see note 5), whereas it is clear that this is by no means sufficient (see note 6). For in everything pertaining to education, every month, every week, and even every day is of particular importance. If you demonstrate the necessary commitment and alacrity, you will undoubtedly obtain an effort on the part of the relevant authorities. May Hashem* grant that you share good news with me soon on this matter.

I am surprised that, until now and up to the present letter — apparently begun the day before yesterday — no one has reported anything to me about the enrollment (see note 7). May Hashem* grant that the success be considerable. No doubt you will recruit the youth of the Chabad* association and the students of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, as befits this task.

I extend my blessing that the matter of your house be resolved very quickly, in a positive manner. You will redouble your ardor, as befits, in your sacred mission within the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch* network in the Holy Land.

לאחרי שתיקתו הכי ארוכה נתקבל סו"ס מכתבו מד' אייר ובמ"ש אודות החלישות ח"ו בעניני כפר חב"ד בטוח אני במיסד הכפר ומנהלו הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל אשר אדרבה תתרבה העבודה ומנוחת הנפש ותתרבה ברכת השי"ת לא רק בענינים הכללים אלא גם הפרטיים של כל אחד ואחת ובטוב הנראה והנגלה דוקא וכפסק רבנו הזקן רבנו האמצעי והצ"צ בזה, וכמ"ש במכתבי מאז.

ת"ח על הבשו"ט שכבר מחפש מגרש מתאים עבור ביה"ס אבל מובן שמה שמתברך שיבוא לפועל בשנת הלימודים תשי"ח אין זה מספיק כלל וכלל, כי בעניני החינוך הרי כל חדש שבוע ואפילו יום, רב ערך הוא ביותר ובודאי בהשתדלות ומרץ המתאים מצדם תתרבה ג"כ ההשתדלות מצד המשרדים המתאימים, ויה"ר שבקרוב יבשר טוב בזה.

לפלא שעד עתה לא הודיע איש אודות התחלת הרישום עד למכתבו זה שכנראה הותחל שלשום ויה"ר שיהי' בהצלחה מרובה, ובודאי יגייסו מבין צעירי אגו"ח ותלמידי תו"ת כפי הדרוש לעבודה זו...

בברכה שבקרוב ממש יסתדר ענין הדירה שלהם באופן טוב ויוכל להוסיף מרץ ככל הדרוש בעבודתו בקדש ברשת אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש באה"ק ת"ו.
