Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from the conclusion of Shabbos*, in which you specify the manner of affixing a Mezuzah* (see note 2), based on what you heard from the Rebbe* (see note 3). I thank you for the additional details. If this is indeed the case, please be so kind as to inform me further. I thank you in advance.

It is surely unnecessary to emphasize to every Chassid* that the unfortunate event that has occurred (see note 4) must awaken the hidden forces and enable one to cleave to our holy masters. Each and every person will therefore participate, to the extent of his or her ability, in the development of the Chabad* institutions of the Holy Land, and will do so precisely in the current location (see note 5), as indicated by the well-known Chassidic* discourses of the Alter Rebbe*, the Mitteler Rebbe*, and the Tzemach Tzedek* (see note 6).

I am enclosing a copy of a letter I addressed to someone. It may be of interest to you. Obviously, my intent is not to deliver a speech (see note 7), and I have good hope that you will use your influence in this domain.

הקריאה לעזרה של בתי הספר בית-רבקה בברונזוויל ואיסט־ניו*
יורק ,צריכה לעורר הד מיידי בכל לב יהודי.
המוסד שנתייסד ע״י כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע
לפני חמש עשרה שנה ,בו לומדות בנות ישראל ,ואשר ב״ה כבר העמיד
מאות רבות של תלמידות ,מחונכות ברוח התורה ביראת שמים ]כדי[
לתפוס את מקומן בתור עקרת-הבית -מוסד זה עומד היום במצב
רציני ,בגלל קשיים הקשורים עם בנין בית הספר ,החייב שיפוץ והרחבה
כדי לקבל את האישורים הנחוצים משלטונות העיר.
בטח מיותר להאריך אודות החשיבות של חינוך הבנות על טהרת
הקדש בכלל ,ובפרט אודות החשיבות החיונית של בתי הספר בית-רבקה
האמורים ,המוכרים היטב לציבור היהודי הרחב.
לכן הנני פונה לכאו״א אשר תורה ויהדות תורנית חשובים
וקדושים לו ,להענות ברוחב לב לקריאת העזרה הרצינית של בתי הספר
בית רבקה בברונזוויל ואיסט-ניו-יורק ,הן בתמיכה אישית הכי גדולה,
והן במאמץ אישי למשוך ולזכות גם אחרים במצוה הגדולה של סיוע
בחינוך הכשר של בנות ישראל על טהרת הקדש.
