Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter from some time ago, whose delivery was delayed. You tell me that the custom in your family is to adhere to the teaching of our Sages* that "one marries at eighteen." You have already reached this age, and matches are being proposed to you, but you do not know whether you should pursue them, as you wish to study the Torah* in tranquility for some time longer.

In my opinion, it would be good to pursue these proposals. Given the conditions in the holy city of Jerusalem, you will still be able to study for some time after your marriage. You know how much importance our Sages* accord to the study of Torah* in purity. You fear that marriage will disturb your study. In fact, everything depends on you. If you truly wish it, you will achieve success in the study of the revealed dimension of the Torah* and of Chassidus*, both before and after marriage.

May Hashem* grant that you find a suitable match, both materially and spiritually, so that you will be helped to positively transform what lies before you.

It is surely unnecessary to emphasize to you the imperative necessity of studying, every day, the profound teaching of the Torah* which, in our era, has been revealed through Chassidus*. This is in addition to the three well-known daily studies covering the Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya*.

Moreover, you find yourself in the holy city of Jerusalem, the city of the perfection of fear — which is perceived only by meditating on the greatness of Hashem*. To accomplish this, one must study Chassidus*, as can be verified in practice.

May Hashem* grant you the success of sharing good news regarding all of this, as well as regarding the influence you exert on your friends, drawing them closer to the Torah* and its luminary — the teaching of Chassidus*, its usages, and its practices.

With my blessing,
