To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav* Shmuel Elazar (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 29 Nissan*, as well as the preceding ones and the press clippings. I thank you very much for thinking to send them to me, together with your article published in HaModia*, which is written with warmth and enthusiasm.

No doubt, in the future, you will again use the medium of HaModia* to disseminate the wellsprings outward — the teaching of Chassidus*, its practices, and its customs. Every action in this direction hastens the Redemption, as explained in the holy letter of the Baal Shem Tov* (see note 2), according to which "when your wellsprings spread outward, I will come." Furthermore, this connects the profound and hidden aspect of the Jewish soul to the profound dimension of the Divinity, in accordance with the well-known statement of the holy Zohar*.

As you request, I will mention all the names you cite, at an auspicious time, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. May Hashem* grant that you announce good news to me regarding each of them.

I hope you are making the necessary preparations to take advantage of Lag BaOmer*, which approaches, within the framework of the activities of the youth of the Chabad* association. One must fully utilize this opportunity to disseminate the teaching of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai*, whose joy is being celebrated. In recent generations, this teaching has been revealed through Chassidus*. Furthermore, Chabad* Chassidus* provides a rational approach to it.

May Hashem* grant you considerable success.

תקותי שעושים הכנות הדרושות לנצל את ל"ג בעומר הבע"ל במסגרת צעירי אגו"ח. כדי לנצל במילואו האפשרי בהפצת תורת הרשב"י בעל השמחה שנתגלתה בדורות האחרונים בתורת החסידות ובהבנה והשגה בתורת חסידות חב"ד, והשי"ת יזכם שיהי' בהצלחה מופלגה.
