To the leaders of the youth of the Chabad* association in the holy city of Jerusalem, may Hashem* grant you long life,
Greetings and blessings,
I have duly received your first letter, from before Pesach*. I am surprised not to have received further news, concerning, in particular, the campaign for the Matzah Shemurah* and the manner in which you made use of the days of Pesach* in general. No doubt I will receive, in these days, a letter with all the necessary details.
The purpose of this letter is to remind you of the necessary preparations for Lag BaOmer*, which approaches. May Hashem* grant that your activity this year surpass that of previous years. Our Sages* say, indeed, that one ascends in matters of holiness. I await good and detailed news.
With my blessing of success in all that has been said,

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם הראשון לפני הפסח, ולפלא שאין עוד כל ידיעות מהם ולפרט בנוגע למבצע המצה שמורה וניצול ימי חג הפסח בכלל ובודאי יתקבל ימים אלו מכתב מפורט ככל הדרוש.
ועל של עתה באתי, לעוררם ע"ד ההכנות הדרושות בקשר עם ל"ג בעומר הבע"ל, ויה"ר שיוסיפו בשנה זו על השנים שעברו וכדרישת רז"ל מעלין בקדש, ואחכה לבשו"ט ומפורטות.
