Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter requesting my blessing. I will mention your name, at an auspicious time, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. Be aware, therefore, of the great merit and the responsibility that are incumbent upon you. Our Sages* say that the result is commensurate with the effort (see note 1). You therefore fully receive the capacity to adopt a Chassidic* way of life in the fullest sense of the term — not only on Shabbos* and the festivals, but truly every day. And nothing stands in the way of the will.

Moreover, the merit of your ancestors comes to your aid, for they gave of themselves for our Torah*, the Torah of life. And they bequeathed these strengths and capacities to their children and grandchildren. Nevertheless, it is incumbent upon each individual to reveal them concretely, for they are hidden and veiled.

As you know, our Sages* have given the assurance that "when a person sanctifies himself a little here below, he is sanctified greatly from Above." Furthermore, during this period (see note 2), his material well-being depends on the adoption of this way of life.

May Hashem* grant you success in sharing good news regarding all of this,

במענה על מכתבו בבקשת ברכה. אזכירו בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע. וידוע ידע גודל הזכות וגם האחריות אשר עליו, כי מתאים למאמר רז"ל לפום גמלא שיחנא, היכולת המלאה בידו לחיות באורח חיים חסידותי במלא מובן המלה, ולא רק בימי השבת ויום טוב אלא בחיי היום יומים, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצונו, ולא עוד אלא שגם זכות אבות אבותיו מסייעתו שהיו אנשי מסירות נפש על תורתנו תורת חיים, וזכו להמשיך כחות אלו ויכולת זו בבניהם ובני בניהם, אלא שעל כאו"א להוציא כחות נעלים נעלמים אלו מהכח אל הפועל וידועה הבטחת רז"ל, אדם מקדש עצמו מעט למטה מקדשים אותו הרבה מלמעלה, ולא עוד אלא שבתקופה זו גם האושר בחיים הגשמים תלוי באורח חיים זה, והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בכל האמור.
