To the Rav*, the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav* N. N. (see note 1),

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 8 Nissan* and the one that followed. May Hashem* grant that at least in the future, you cease causing me to write letters expressing demands. May Hashem* grant me the merit and the success of composing letters of gratitude, asking to ascend yet higher, from time to time, in the domain of holiness, beyond the ever-increasing success. Moreover, the students, having received, will in turn give. They will be the channels, the receptacles, the emissaries disseminating Chassidus* among our brethren, the Sefardim*, as well as its usages and customs.

What a pity! Every day, every passing moment will never return, especially in our era of Ikvesa DiMeshicha*, when, according to the teaching of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, "he (see note 2) stands behind our wall." It suffices, therefore, to polish the buttons, for they must be shining at the parade. It is unnecessary to say more. All of this has been set forth, repeated a second time, then a third, on various occasions, in writing and orally. The wording was not the same, but the content was always identical.

No doubt you made good use of the days of the festival of Pesach* in the proper manner. You will write to me about this, with the appropriate detail.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מח' ניסן ושלאחריו, ויה"ר שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא, הנה תחת לכתוב מכתבי תביעה יזכני השי"ת ויצליחני לכתוב מכתבי תודה ודרישה להעלות בקדש יותר וביותר נוסף על ההצלחה המתוספת מזמן לזמן, והעיקר שיהי' גם תלמידים טופח ע"מ להטפיח להעשות צנורות כלים ושלוחים להפיץ תורת הדא"ח בין אחינו הספרדים והליכה בהדרכותי' ומנהגי', הרי חבל על כל יום ועל כל רגע שהזמן זוהי אבדה שאינה חוזרת, ובפרט בימינו בעקבתא דמשיחא אשר פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הנה זה עומד אחר כתלנו, ורק צריכים פוצען די קנעפלעך ווארום גייענדיק אין א פאראד דארפען די קנעפלעך אויך בלישצען, והאריכות בכל זה אך למותר, כי כבר נאמרו הדברים נכפלו ונשלשו הדברים בכו"כ מקומות הן באלו הנדפסים והן בע"פ, אף אם בנוסחאות שונות אבל התוכן אחד הוא.

בודאי ניצלו ימי חג הפסח כדבעי, ויכתוב גם עד"ז בפרטיות המתאימה...
