Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter, in which you tell me about your relatives whose children have passed away.
You will convey to them that they must, as soon as possible, observe with the utmost scrupulousness the laws of family purity*. Likewise, they should have the husband's Tefillin* and the Mezuzos* of their home checked. The women should give a few coins to Tzedakah* before lighting the candles on the eve of Shabbos* and the festivals.
They should also endeavor to receive guests. Hashem* will regard what is in their hearts. He will grant them His blessing, so that in the future, they will share only good news in this matter.
No doubt you are continuing your studies with the ardor and perseverance that are fitting, according to the program of the Yeshivah*, and you are influencing your friends to do the same. In this way, you will increase Hashem's* blessing in your own study.

במענה על מכתבו, בו כותב אודות קרוביו אשר ר"ל מתו להם בנים.
הנה ימסור להם שיזהרו לדקדק ולהדר בחוקי ודיני טהרת המשפחה, וכן יבדקו את התפילין של הבעל, והמזוזות בדירתם, והנשים יפרישו איזה פרוטות לצדקה קודם הדלקת הנרות בכל ערב שבת ויום טוב, וישתדלו במצות הכנסת אורחים, והשם יראה ללבב וישלח ברכתו אשר מכאן ולהבא יבשרו אך טוב בכל האמור.
בודאי לומד הוא בהתמדה ושקידה מתאים לסדרי הישיבה ומשפיע גם על חבריו שיעשו כן, שעל ידי זה תתוסף בברכת השי"ת בלימודו.
