Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of 13 Nissan*, in which you share good news — that you have just completed the study of the Talmud Bavli* and are beginning it anew. Likewise, you studied the entire Torah Or* during the winter and are currently studying Likkutei Torah*.
How fortunate is your lot! You have merited to learn all of this, and the success of your study will surely increase in the future. Thus will be fulfilled for you the promise that "great is study which leads to action." For, in accordance with the teaching of our holy masters, it is not sufficient to study the Torah*. One must also receive its instruction.
You mention your future study of Likkutei Torah*. You say that it is not sufficient to study and conclude the commentaries on a Sidra* during the week. Nevertheless, it is good to study this sefer* in order. In this way, you will feel the obligation to conclude it as quickly as possible. This will not be the case if you divide the study into several parts.
As you request, I will mention all the names you cite, so that they may obtain the fulfillment of their needs, as you describe them in your letter. May you share good news regarding all of this.

שלום וברכה!
במענה על מכתבו מי"ג ניסן, עם הבשו"ט אשר גומר את הש"ס בבלי ויתחילו מחדש, וכן אשר גמר את התורה אור במשך החורף ולומד עתה הספר לקו"ת.
והנה אשרי חלקו אשר זכה לכל האמור אשר עי"ז תתוסף ג"כ ההצלחה בלימודו להבא, ושיקוים בלימוד זה גדול תלמוד שמביא לידי מעשה, וכפתגם רבוה"ק נשיאנו, ניט נאר לערנען תורה נאר אז די תורה זאל עם אויסלערנען.
ובמ"ש אודות הלימוד לקו"ת להבא, שאינו מספיק ללמוד ולגמור כל הסדרה במשך השבוע. הנה בכ"ז טוב שילמדו כסדרו, שאז ירגיש עליו החיוב יותר לגמרו בהקדם, משא"כ כשיחלקו לחלקים.
כבקשתו, אזכיר את כל אלו שכותב אודותם להמצטרך להם מתאים לתוכן מכתבו, ולבשר טוב בכל האמור.
