I received your letter together with the checks, and I thank you for [the benefit of] Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch.[1][2] Regarding the Piskei Dinim[3] — it has been delayed because I am working on many manuscripts to annotate the halachic source text; there are also many other activities. I am trying to finish quickly. This past Sunday I completed the English translation of the Previous Rebbe's* memoirs, which I worked on for one and a half years. Yesterday the Previous Rebbe* said that he wishes to publish for 19 Kislev a chassidic discourse,* 'Whoever takes pity on creatures,' together with the letter written to you in early Cheshvan — though your name will not be indicated.
