I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter from the eve of Shabbos*, which followed a long silence, as well as everything it contained. I thank you for the good news you give me about how the festival of Purim* went in your shul*. May Hashem* grant that in the future, everything be transformed into joy. Thus, you will devote yourselves joyfully and with all the necessary energy to the expansion and development of this shul* and your surroundings, in the materiality of the spiritual and the spirituality of the material.

You have been able to establish the practice of circumcision, and Hashem* has granted you the great merit of making a proper bakery. Now, our Sages say that one mitzvah* leads to another. The merit of all this will therefore be felt in other domains as well, and in everything you mention in this letter.

In this way, your state of health will improve physically, which is important in itself, for it is about the Jewish body that it was said: "You have chosen us," as the Tanya* explains. Moreover, this is how one can serve Hashem*.

לאחרי שתיקתו הכי ארוכה נתקבל מכתבו מעש"ק עם המוסגר בו ות"ח על הבשו"ט מאופן חגיגת ימי הפורים בבית הכנסת, ויהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא הנה יהי' ונהפוך הוא לשמחה וכו' שמתוך שמחה יתעסק במרץ הדרוש בהתרחבות והתפתחות בית הכנסת וסביבתו הן בגשמיות שברוחניות והן ברוחניות שברוחניות, ובודאי שגם זה מה שהצליח בסידור עניני מילה וכן הזכות הגדול שניתנה לו מהשגחה העליונה לסדר הענין דבית מאפה כדבעי, הרי כמרז"ל מצוה גוררת מצוה הנה זכות ענינים אלו ישפיע על שאר הענינים, וכן על הענינים שאין מזכיר אודותם, ובמילא מובן שיביא לו זה גם הטבה בבריאות בגשמיות, שמלבד גודל הענין בעצמו כי הרי גם הישראלי עליו נאמר ובנו בחרת, וכמבואר בתניא הנה זה נוגע גם לכל עניני עבודת השי"ת...
