I greet you and bless you,

I received with pleasure your letter, in which you tell me that you participate in a public class on the holy Tanya* (this letter was addressed to several participants in the class described in the preceding letter). Our Sages describe the great importance of public study, and you should consult, on this subject, Iggeres HaKodesh* of the Alter Rebbe*, author of the Tanya* and Decisor of the hidden part of the Torah*, author of the Shulchan Aruch* and Decisor of the revealed part of the Torah*, Chapter 23, regarding the study of the Ein Yaakov*.

That text states: "Most of the secrets of the Torah* are expressed in the Midrashim* of the Ein Yaakov*. This study atones for a person's sins, as the writings of the Arizal* explain. And its revealed dimension describes the ways of Hashem* in which a person must walk, and counsels him regarding Heavenly and earthly concerns, as all the Sages know." You should also consult, at that same reference and in Chapter 29, what is said regarding the study of the Shulchan Aruch*.

Without a doubt, the merit of your study and your participation in this class, to the extent possible, together with all the others, will protect you and the members of your family.

In accordance with your request, your name and those of the members of your family will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us.

The festival of Pesach* is approaching, for us and for all of Yisrael*, for good and for blessing, and I wish you to celebrate it, together with the members of your family, in a kosher* and joyous manner.

נעם לי לקבל מכתבו, בו כותב אודות השתתפותו בשיעורי הלימוד ברבים בספר תניא קדישא, וידוע ומפורסם בדברי רז"ל גודל מעלת הענין דתלמוד תורה דרבים, וראה ג"כ באגה"ק לרבנו הזקן בעל השו"ע (פוסק בנגלה דתורה) והתניא (פוסק בנסתר דתורה) סי' כ"ג, בהונגע ללימוד חלק עין יעקב וז"ל: אגדה בספר עין יעקב שרוב סודות התורה גנוזים בה ומכפרת עונותיו של אדם כמבואר בכתבי האריז"ל, והנגלות שבה הן דרכי ה' שילך בהם האדם וישית עצות בנפשו במילי דשמיא ובמילי דעלמא וכידוע לכל חכמי לב, ועיין שם ג"כ במה שכותב בלימוד השו"ע ועיין באגה"ק סי כ"ט, ובודאי יעמוד להם זכות הלימוד והשתתפותם כפי האפשרי להם עם הלומדים, להם ולבני ביתם שיחיו.

כבקשתו יזכירוהו ואת ב"ב שיחיו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ולקראת חג הפסח הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנה יחוגו אותו הוא וב"ב שיחיו בכשרות ובשמחה.
