Greetings and blessings,

I have just received your letter from the eve of Shabbos* Parshas* Bo*, which followed a particularly long silence. I did not find in it the reason for this silence. In any event, I hope that you have no health problems.

Even if you do not say so in your letter, I hope that from time to time you participate in gatherings of the Chassidim*, bringing inspiration and recounting memories. If one ceases doing so for a certain time, for whatever reason, one should subsequently feel an even more vivid desire to participate.

For ultimately, it is certain that the words of our Sages will be fulfilled: "When one shoots an arrow toward the sky, it falls back on its point." And one can observe that the further it moves from the earth, which is its origin, the faster it descends back to it.

With blessing to convey good tidings of all the above — of what is stated explicitly and of what is found between the lines,

לאחרי שתיקתו הכי ארוכה, נתקבל זה עתה מכתבו מעש"ק בא, אשר גם בו לא מצאתי סיבת השתיקה, ותקותי שעכ"פ אין זה ענין דבריאות.

אף שאינו מזכיר עד"ז במכתבו, תקותי שמזמן לזמן משתתף בהתועדות אנ"ש המביאות ברוממות רוח ולהתעוררות זכרונות ימי קדם ובענינים כמו אלו הרי אם הפסיקו בזה מאיזה סיבה משך זמן, ההפסק צריך לגרום חשק יותר גדול להשתתף, והרי, סו"ס מוכרחים דברי חז"ל להתקיים, זרוק חוטרא אאוירא אעיקרי' קאי, ורואים במוחש אשר ככל שיתרחק החוטר מהארץ שרשו ומקורו בריחוק יותר, תהי' מהירות ירידתו על הארץ גדולה יותר.
