Greetings and blessings,

I am responding to your letter of this Thursday. Your name and those of your children and grandchildren will be mentioned (at the resting place of the Frierdiker Rebbe*), at an auspicious moment. May Hashem grant that you derive satisfaction from them and from all of them together — true satisfaction, that is, Jewish satisfaction.

As our holy Torah* observes (regarding Avraham, who fathered Yitzchak at one hundred years, and Rivkah, who gave birth at ninety): "Is anything too wondrous for Him?" Our holy books establish that by observing (one's fellow) with an agreeable and benevolent eye, one not only sees the qualities, but moreover, one strengthens them. As a result, the negative aspects become lesser, secondary.

Furthermore, the Tanya*, in Chapter 32, and the Derech Mitzvosecha*, in the mitzvah* of loving one's fellow, explain the value of such love. And it is said of Aharon the Kohen*, described as "holy of holies," that he "loved the creatures" — including those who had no other quality than having been created by Hashem, as the Alter Rebbe* explains in that chapter of the Tanya*.

The Kohanim* are eager, and through their service of Hashem, they bring about that "His Word runs swiftly" — without barrier and without obstacle — as stated in the Likkutei Torah* of the Alter Rebbe*, at the end of Parshas* Korach*.

May Hashem therefore grant that all of this be fulfilled for you (the recipient of this letter is presumably a Kohen*), speedily, and here below, in this world.
