Blessings and greetings,

I received with pleasure your letter, in which you describe your studies and your goals. As you request, I will mention your name, at an auspicious moment, at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that you may achieve success in this domain.

Several texts establish — and concrete experience, perceptible to the eyes of flesh, verifies — that each person, man and woman, must both give and receive, in accordance with his or her surroundings and capabilities. You say, at the beginning of your letter, that you received your education on Chassidic foundations, in a family of Chassidim* for several generations. You must therefore be generous toward others and bring them the beneficial light — that of Chabad* Chassidus*, its customs and practices.

This is your wealth, relative to the milieu in which you move. The mission entrusted to you and your giving of tzedakah* — which is considered the equivalent of all the mitzvos* — are therefore in this domain. And if this sacred duty has been entrusted to you, it is certain that you were given beforehand the strength necessary to carry it out.

No doubt you will accomplish all of this with the necessary eagerness and in the proper manner, especially since most of your friends are presumably preparing to work eventually in the field of education. Every positive addition on the part of each of them will therefore be multiplied many times over in their future students.

The Creator of the world, Who directs it and acts "measure for measure" — but in a vastly increased manner — will intensify His blessing and your success in your personal concerns, in addition to success in all the above.

ברכה ושלום!

נעם לי לקבל מכתבה, בו כותבת אודות סדר לימודי' ושאיפותי', וכבקשתה אזכירה בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להצלחה בזה.

והנה מבואר בכמה מקומות ורואים גם במוחש אפילו בעיני בשר אשר כל אחד ואחת עליו להיות מקבל וגם משפיע מתאים לסביבתו וכשרונותיו, וכיון - כהתחלתה במכתבה - שחונכה על ברכי החסידות בבית תמימים מדור דור, מובן ופשוט שעלי' להיות עינה טובה בשל אחרים, להראותם האור כי טוב, אור תורת החסידות חב"ד הדרכותי' ומנהגי', וכיון שזהו עושרה בערך הסביבה בה נמצאת, ענינה ומצות הצדקה שלה שצדקה שקולה כנגד כל המצות, היא בענין זה, ואם הולט עלי' חוב קדוש זה, בודאי שניתנו לה עוד קודם לזה הכחות למלאות את תפקידה, ובטח תעשה בזה במרץ המתאים ובאופן המתאים, וביחוד שבטח רוב החבירות שלה מתכוננות לעבוד לאחר משך זמן בשדה החינוך, זאת אומרת שכל הוספה לטוב שבכל אחת מהן תכפל כמה פעמים ככה בתלמידותיהן בימים יבואו.

ובורא עולם ומנהיגו אשר מדתו מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכמה פעמים ככה, ירבה ברכתו והצלחתו בעניני' הפרטים נוסף על הצלחתה בכל האמור.
