To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Ben Tzion,

Greetings and blessings,

I have received your letter of 8 Teves*, which was written briefly. No doubt you will provide more details in the coming days. May Hashem* grant that the content of your letters be altered and not express solely good wishes for the future.

True, these wishes are positive and the hope is surely well-founded, but the ultimate goal remains present action. May Hashem* grant that very soon, tidings about the recent past and the present begin to arrive. And the activities will expand from time to time, until the coming of Moshiach*, of whom it is said: "My servant will understand, will be exalted and will be very high."

I learned with pleasure, from your letter, about the gathering for the students of the Talmud Torah* organized by the Chabad* women and girls. Surely there will be fulfilled in this, too, the statement that "the poor person does more for the wealthy one than the wealthy one does for him." And the same applies to the teacher and the student.

The impact of such activities must therefore mark both sides (teachers and students), enabling a greater number of students and parents to draw closer to the practices of Chassidus* and its customs, and subsequently to its teachings and concrete actions, which will be increased both quantitatively and qualitatively. These will be carried out by the Chabad* women and girls, including in their own homes and among the members of their families.

I send my greetings to all the Chassidim* and the members of their families. May all receive blessing and life for eternity.

מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מח' טבת, הכתוב בקיצור, ובודאי יכתוב בפרטיות יותר בימים הקרובים, ויה"ר שיתוסף בתוכן מכתביו שיהיו לא רק תקוות טובות בהנוגע להעתיד... אשר אף שגם זה טוב הוא כיון שהתקוה בטח מבוססת, אבל סוכ"ס התכלית הוא הבפועל בהווה, ויה"ר כנ"ל אשר בקרוב ממש תתחילנה לבוא ידיעות מפעולות הטובות בעבר הקרוב ובהווה וילכו הלוך הפעולות הלוך וגדול מזמן לזמן עד דקאתי מר אשר עליו כתוב ישכיל עבדי ירום ונשא וגבה מאד.

נעם לי לקרות במכתבו אודות כינוס תלמידי הת"ת שנתארגן ע"י נשי ובנות חב"ד, ובודאי גם בזה יקוים, יותר ממה שהבע"ב (המשפיע) עושה עם העני (המקבל) העני עושה עם הבע"ב, היינו שהרושם והפעולה מהנ"ל יהי' בשני הצדדים לקרב עוד תלמידים יותר והורים להדרכת החסידות ומנהגי' ואח"כ, גם לתורת החסידות ולתוספת פעולות בכמות ובאיכות גם יחד מצד נשי ובנות חב"ד וגם בבתיהם ובבני ביתם.

בפ"ש כל אנ"ש הם ובני ביתם יעמדו על הברכה וחיים עד העולם, המחכה לבשו"ט.
