To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Yitzchak,

Greetings and blessings,

I thank you for describing to me the Chassidishe farbrengen* of 19 Kislev*. As you emphasize in your letter, it is also necessary to internalize it deeply. To this end, you will surely endeavor to revive the motivation from time to time, so that it finds expression throughout all the days of the year.

Such is, indeed, the purpose of the Rosh Hashanah* (19 Kislev* is the Rosh Hashanah* of Chassidus*; see letter no. 3989), which is the "head" of the year and not merely its beginning. Obviously, I am referring not only to yourself but also to others, about whom it is said, in this regard: "(You shall love your fellow) as yourself."

You draw a comparison between those who received anointment and a Rebbe*. Please consult, on this subject, the introduction to the pamphlet of 12 Tammuz* 5710 (1950), which is pamphlet no. 80.

...ת"ח ת"ח על כתבו ע"ד ההתועדות דיט"כ. ובודאי, וכפי שכותב גם במכתבו שצ"ל בפנימיות דוקא, ישתדלו אפפרישען מזמן לזמן התעוררות הנ"ל ע"מ שיבוא לבכן במשך ימי השנה, שהרי זהו ענין ראש השנה, נוסף על תחלת השנה. ומובן שכוונתי לא רק בעצמו אלא גם בהזולת. וכמוך - גם ע"ז נאמר.
